Concrete Bridge Assessment Program

When we say that COBRAS is Year 2000 conformant, we mean that the COBRAS Concrete Bridge Assessment Program conforms to DISC PD2000-1:1998 A Definition of Year 2000 Conformity Requirements.

This means that:

• No value for current date will cause any interruption in operation.
• Date-based functionality must behave consistently for dates prior to, during and after year 2000.
• In all interfaces and data storage, the century in any date must be specified either explicitly or by unambiguous algorithms or inferencing rules.
• Year 2000 must be recognized as a leap year.

We have checked and tested the COBRAS Package to ensure that where it uses dates (which is mainly on printed output and in output data files) it does so correctly according to the rules above, provided the correct date is given to the program by the underlying operating system.
